EHL Team Set to Take on RoughRiders and 87s

NEWINGTON, CT -- The East Coast Wizards will head south to Connecticut on Wednesday, for the 4th league-wide showcase of the season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). Heading into the showcase the Wizards own a record 12-10-4 in their first 26 games, and they will take on the Connecticut RoughRiders (14-9-2) on Wednesday and the New Jersey 87s (17-5-0) on Thursday.

"Each team brings a different test for our group," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "Obviously we are a little disappointed about the results from the home-and-home with the Rangers, but we have to have a short memory, because the showcase features a pair of tough opponents as well."

Each matchup is the first respective meeting of the season between the Wizards and the Mid-Atlantic Conference foes. This past year, the Wizards split their four games with the RoughRiders, and then won both matchups with the 87s.

Wednesday's game is scheduled for 12:10pm, while Thursday's contest will kick-off the full slate of action at 8:00am.

If you can't make it to Newington for showcase, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout the event.
