EHL Team Returns Home, Looking to Start New Streak

BEDFORD, MA -- The East Coast Wizards get back to work today at Noon, when they host the Railers Jr. Hockey Club for the final time in the 2019-20 season. Following Wednesday's 5-2 loss at the hands of the Vermont Lumberjacks, the Wizards enter this one with a record of 16-16-6. As for the Railers, their inaugural season has brought with it many challenges, as they own a mark of 7-26-3 to date.

"We need to find more consistency down the stretch," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "It feels like we've hovered around the 500-mark all year long, and if we want to make a run in the playoffs, we have to play much better than that."

Today's matchup is a good way for the Wizards to start finding that consistency, as they own a perfect record over the Railers so far this season. In the previous three matchups, the Wizards won by scores of 9-1, 6-0, and 8-3.

Looking ahead, the Wizards will have just seven games remaining in the regular season at the end of the day. The push for every point will be key down the stretch, as the team tries to put themselves in position for another deep postseason run.

If you can't make it to Bedford for the game today, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout the matchup.
