BEDFORD, MA -- The East Coast Wizards return to this ice this afternoon and begin a home-and-home series with the Valley Junior Warriors. Today's matchup is scheduled for a 12:30 pm puck drop at The Edge Sports Center, while tomorrow's game is set to get underway at 4:00 pm at the Lawrence Valley Forum.
The home-and-home series features the final two regular season matchups between the Central Division rivals. Heading into the weekend, the Wizards own a 3-3-0 record against the Warriors.
"We've gone back and forth with these guys all season long," said EHL head coach and general manager Kory Falite. "The key this weekend will be focusing on one shift at a time, and if we do that well, I'm sure we will be able to look back on the weekend and be happy with the final results."
Entering today's contest the Wizards own a record of 13-17-1 in 31 total games to date, and that includes a 5-2-0 mark since the beginning of January.
Following this weekend the team only has five games remaining on the regular season schedule. With that being the case, this weekend's points are critical as the Wizards continue to battle for playoff positioning.
