Collins Commits to Stonehill College

The East Coast Wizards pick up their fifth college commit of the season. Forward Cameron Collins announced Sunday that he will continue his hockey career at Stonehill College.

“I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, Coach Falite, Coach Santello, and the Wizards organization for all of their support,” Collins said.

Collins was a mid-season acquisition for East Coast, joining the team in January. However, the 19-year-old from Raynham, Massachusetts has quickly become a valuable offensive threat for the Wizards. His 19 points in 14 games puts him first on the team in points-per-game with 1.36. Despite playing the start of the 2021-22 season with the South Shore Kings of the National Collegiate Development Conference, Collins was very familiar with playing at The Edge Sports Center.

“We are really excited for Cam and his commitment to Stonehill. Cam played for our midget program through high school and it was a no-brainer when he wanted to join us late in the year,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. “He’s had an immediate impact on our team and I’m confident he will do the same at Stonehill.”

Stonehill College, just north of Collins' hometown, is a Division III program belonging to the New England 10 Conference. The Skyhawks have won the NE10 Championship three times in program history, including the most recent tournament held in 2019-20.
