The Wizards’ season may be over, but the commits keep coming.
East Coast forward Will MacNeil announced Friday that he has committed to play college hockey at Suffolk University in Boston. MacNeil, who grew up in nearby Belmont and attended Catholic Memorial, will continue his career in the 617.
“I am really excited to join the Rams next season,” MacNeil said. “I want to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for all of their support.”
MacNeil wrapped up the 2021-22 season with a pair of goals and eight assists over 27 games despite battling injury. He joins a Suffolk Rams program that finished fifth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
“We’re extremely happy for Will and his commitment to Suffolk. They are getting a great hockey player and more importantly a tremendous person,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. “His perseverance getting through a major injury this season and return for the playoffs really shows the type of determination and character he has.”
