Another East Coast Wizard is set to head to Boston to continue their career.

Wizards forward Cole Scott announced Monday that he has committed to play college hockey at Suffolk University. He is the third player from the 2021-22 team to commit to Suffolk, joining defenseman Joe Idelson and forward Will MacNeil.

“I’m very excited to be going to Suffolk and joining the Rams,” Scott said. “I want to thank my parents for all the sacrifices they made to help me pursue my hockey career. I’d also like to thank the East Coast Wizards organization, especially Kory, Chris, and Adrian who have been instrumental in my development as not only a player but as a person over the past three years.”

Scott joined the Wizards in 2019 and quickly became a key offensive piece to the team, scoring 11 goals and recording 11 assists in his first year. He followed it up with 11 more goals in 2020-21 before setting a Eastern Hockey League career high in goals, assists, and points this past season with a 12-21-33 scoring line.

“We are so excited for Cole. He has been here for three years, and we’ve seen him mature both as a player and as a person,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. “He is a true leader both on and off the ice and his work ethic has truly paid off. He’s been the backbone to our team the last few years and we’re excited to see what the future holds for him at Suffolk.”
