The Suffolk Rams are set for a magical future.

East Coast Wizards forward and team captain Ryan Webb announced Wednesday that he will attend Suffolk University and play college hockey for the Rams. He becomes the fourth Wizard from this past season’s roster to commit to Suffolk, joining defenseman Joe Idelson and fellow forwards Will MacNeil and Cole Scott.

“I couldn’t be happier with the path that hockey has taken me on so far,” Webb said. “Beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue this journey at the next level. None of this would be possible without the support from my family, teammates, coaches, and the EHL.”

Webb, a Rockport, Massachusetts native, played at St. John’s Prep in Danvers prior to joining the Wizards ahead of the 2020-21 season. He quickly established himself as a top line forward in his first season, scoring 16 goals and adding 21 assists over 32 games. Webb followed it up in 2021-22 with nine goals and another 21 assists as captain of the Wizards.

“We couldn’t be prouder to announce Ryan’s commitment to Suffolk. He is a true leader both on and off the ice and his work ethic has truly paid off,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. “He’s been the backbone to our team the last few years and we’re excited to see what the future holds for him at Suffolk.”
