BEDFORD, MA -- The Wizards welcomed the Total Athletics Seahawks to town on Wednesday to try to get themselves back into the win column. Matt Letmanski gave the Wizards the lead just 8:43 into the game, and they didn't look back from there, winning by a final score of 3-0. The native of Germany, Korbinian Lutz, stood tall in net for the Wizards stopping all 22 shots that he faced. The win was Lutz's first of the season and the first of his EHL career. The Wizards came to play yesterday afternoon as they outshot the Seahawks 36 to 22 in route to victory. This win puts the Wizards at 2-4-0, before their road trip down to Connecticut on Saturday.
"Kory [Falite] and I were very proud of the way our team played yesterday," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "This was our first complete game of the season, and the boys really competed for a full 60 minutes."
Looking ahead to this weekend, the Wizards hit the road to face-off with the Oilers on Saturday afternoon in Hamden. The team will then travel up to Tewksbury on Columbus Day to battle the Boston Jr. Rangers for the first time this season.
