BEDFORD, MA -- Featured on this week’s alumni update are a pair of former Wizard forwards who have recently earned a spot on their respective collegiate roster. Cameron Stewart is playing his college hockey at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont as the Purple Knights compete out of the Northeast-10 (NE10) conference and are listed as a Division II program. The freshman is majoring in engineering and has dressed for four of the Purple Knights games so far this season. Stewart had his first collegiate goal in the team’s 5-2 win against Post University back on November 14th. The Purple Knights have a 3-2-1 record on the season and are a perfect 2-0-0 in conference play. Stewart and the rest of the squad will take on a fellow NE10 member in Assumption College this upcoming weekend.
The other Wizards alum of this week is Glenn Wiswell, who is playing his college hockey at Castleton University. The Spartans play out of the North East Hockey Conference (NEHC) and are listed as a Division III program. The freshman from Berwick, ME, is fitting in nicely with his new club, dressing for all nine of their games so far this season. The forward has already racked up four points, with two goals and two assists on the year including a game-winning goal that came on the power-play against Skidmore College. The Spartans have an overall record of 4-5-0 on the season and sit in 7th place in the NEHC. Up next for Wiswell and the rest of the squad are a pair of games against Norwich University before the two ex-Wizards will play each other on December 9th at Saint Michael's College.
Make sure to follow the alumni updates every week as next week’s story will feature a pair of former Wizards now with Colby College.
