BEDFORD -- After jumping out to a 1-0 lead, the East Coast Wizards saw the New England Wolves score four unanswered goals in the 2nd period and could never comeback on the way to a 5-3 defeat. With the loss, the Wizard’s record fell to 14-11-0 on the year, as they still sit in 3rd place in the Boston Division.
Andy Somerville gave the Wizards a quick lead in the 1st period which was the forward's 3rd goal in just two games since returning from injury. However, the Wolves would outscore the Wizards 4-1 in the middle frame and went on to win the game by a score of 5-3, despite being outshot 49-30. Jeremy Vasquez and Matt Letmanski had the other two Wizard's goals, and the boys will get another crack at the Wolves when they travel up to Laconia on February 17th.
In the upcoming week, the Wizards will host the Valley Jr. Warriors for the first time this season on Tuesday and then will play the Total Athletic Seahawks on Friday to wrap up their six-game home stand.
