BEDFORD, MA -- The Wizards will look to bounce back at home today with a matchup against the Walpole Express. The Wizards currently find themselves in 3rd place in the Boston Division with a record of 22-15-1 and are trailing the 2nd place Express by 8 points. Walpole has a 8-2-0 record in their last 10 games and are coming into today’s game fresh off a 6-1 win against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers at the January Showcase.
"Every time we take on the Express, it's an absolute battle," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "They are always close games, and they often come down to 3rd period."
The game is scheduled for a 12:00pm puck drop in Bedford and marks the fifth out of six meeting between the two division rivals. The Wizards have a 2-2-0 record against the Express this season, losing the most recent match-up 5-0. Today’s game kicks off a very important 3-game home stand as the Wizards will look to gain some ground in the Boston Division by hosting the 1st place Boston Jr. Rangers and the Express again next week.
