BEDFORD, MA -- The Wizards are set to face-off against a pair of Boston Division opponents at home, starting with the 1st place Boston Jr. Rangers on Wednesday. Coming into the two games, the Wizards sit in 3rd place in the Boston Division with a record of 23-15-1 (4th Place in the North Conference). The Wizards are just six points behind the 2nd place Walpole Express and 11 points behind the Rangers for the top spot in their division. The Rangers are coming into tomorrow’s contest having won two games in a row and are fresh off a 3-2 win against the Valley Jr. Warriors last Friday.
The puck drop is scheduled for 12:00pm and will mark the fifth time that the two division rivals have played each other this season. The Wizards have a 2-2-0 record against the Rangers this year, as every game has been decided by two or less goals.
On Thursday the Wizards will welcome back the Express back to town for a 12:30pm afternoon matchup, to finish off the season series. The Wizards have a 3-2-0 record against Walpole this year, winning the most recent matchup 4-3 last Friday. Devin Panzeca’s late 3rd period goal sealed the win for the Wizards.
"These are two very big games for our team," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "Of course we would love to come away with all four points, but we have to make sure we take things just one shift at a time. Our group is feeling confident and ready to go."
