BEDFORD, MA -- The Wizards will look to bounce back this afternoon, as they hit the road to take on the Vermont Lumberjacks at Noon. This is the first matchup of the two teams in Burlington, as the Wizards look to bounce back following this past Thursday's overtime loss to the Walpole Express. Despite the loss, the Wizards still grabbed another point in what turned into a very good three-game stretch for the team. Entering today's matchup the Wizards are currently 4th overall in the North Conference with a record of 24-15-2. On the other hand the Lumberjacks have won five of their last seven, and hold down 5th place with a record of 19-19-2.
"This is a big one today," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "The Lumberjacks have been playing very well as of late, and if you look at the standings, we very likely could see them again in the playoffs."
If the season ended today, this would be one of the First Round matchups in the North Conference. There are still a handful of games remaining for each team, as the Wizards still have an outside shot of claiming the Boston Division title. The key is today though, as two points this afternoon could go a long way towards clinching home ice in the playoffs.
