EHL Team Eyes Ticket to Providence

BEDFORD, MA -- After the First Round sweep of the Vermont Lumberjacks, the Wizards are set to start a best-of-three series against the top-seeded New Hampshire Avalanche in North Conference Semi-Finals. The winner of this series will advance to the EHL Frozen Finals at Providence College. The Avalanche won all four of their games against the Wizards in the regular season, but won the most recent matchup between the two teams by just one goal.

"We definitely played well against the Lumberjacks, but we know we will have to play even better then that," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "Nothing against Vermont, but the Avalanche have been the top team in our North all season long, and it's going to take a full effort from every member of our team. We are ready and excited for the challenge."

The Avalanche enjoyed a First Round bye with the #1 seed and finished the regular season winning seven of their last eight games. The best-of-three series will start tomorrow, March 15th, at the Ice Den at 1:00pm. The series will swing back to The Edge Sports Center on Friday for Game 2 at 1:00pm. If necessary, Game 3 will be played back at the Ice Den at 2:00pm on Sunday.
