EHL Team Set to Take on Applecore and Knights

WALPOLE, MA -- It's time for the first showcase of the season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). This weekend features all 19 EHL teams in action, and the Wizards have a game on each of the next 2 days. This morning at 11:30am, the Wizards will hit the ice with the New York Applecore, and then tomorrow at 2:00pm, the boys will wrap-up their season series with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Heading into the showcase, the Wizards have won 3 straight games and own a record of 3-1-0 for the season. The team will look to keep things rolling, with a pair of matchups against teams from the Mid-Atlantic Conference.

"We are ready to go," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "The showcases are a chance to show what you got, and we've had a great week of practice."

If you can't make it to Rodman Arena today or tomorrow, you can catch the games live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout the showcase.

Skylar Pettingill ('99) is set to hit the ice in his first career EHL Showcase.
