EHL Team Gets Back to Work at Home

BEDFORD, MA -- The East Coast Wizards return to the ice this afternoon at 1:00pm, for a New England Conference matchup with the Vermont Lumberjacks. This is the first of just 2 meetings between the teams this season, as the Wizards will head to Burlington, VT on December 5th. As for today's game, the Wizards come into this one having 2 in a row, which has helped them to an overall record of 6-3-1 for the season. On the flip side, the Lumberjacks have won 4 of their last 5, which has pushed their record up to 5-4-0 for the season.

"It will be good to get back out there," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "This is obviously our first game in a while, so it will be important for our guys to get their legs going quickly in this one."

As Meyer mentioned, the Wizards haven't played since October 14th, due in large part to the EHL All-Star Weekend that took place this past Friday and Saturday. Looking back at last year, the Wizards  finished with a 5-0-1 record against the Lumberjacks, and that mark includes a 2-game sweep in the First Round of the EHL Playoffs.

If you can't make it Bedford for the game, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout today's matchup.

Noah Furman ('00) has been a key contributor for the Wizards so far this season, with 5 points in the team's first 10 games.
