HAVERHILL, MA -- It's time for the second showcase of the season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). This weekend features all 19 EHL teams in action, and the Wizards have a game on each of the next 2 days. Tonight at 8:50pm, the Wizards will hit the ice with Team Maryland, and then tomorrow at 5:20pm, the boys will battle the North Carolina Golden Bears. Heading into the showcase, the Wizards own a record of 9-6-1 for the season. The team will look to build off of their most recent win, a 5-4 victory over the Connecticut Chiefs on Wednesday.
"We are excited for the showcase," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "Weekends like this are a chance for our players to show what they have, and it's been a solid week of practice leading up to these 2 games."
If you can't make it to Paul T. Gilmartin Memorial Arena today or tomorrow, you can catch the games live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout the showcase.
Herman Lundback ('98) had an assist in the first showcase of the season, and the native Sweden will be looking for more this weekend.
