EHL Team Set to Host Division Rival

BEDFORD, MA -- The East Coast Wizards return to the ice this afternoon at 12:00pm, for a divisional showdown with the Walpole Express. The Wizards have come out on top in each of the first two matchups against the Express this season, winning by scores of 2-0 and 2-1. Heading into today's meeting, the Wizards own a mark of 14-8-1, and their 29 points puts them 5th place overall in the New England Conference. It's also worth noting that the Wizards own at least a single game in hand on all four teams above them in the conference standings.

"There is a little comfort in knowing that we have some games in hand," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "It's all a matter of what you do with those games though. Every matchup is a battle in this league, and if we don't compete, then we will watch those games in hand go away really quickly. We've got 2 games left before the break, and our guys are ready."

Following today's matchup, the Wizards will travel to take on the Seahawks Hockey Club on Thursday, which will be the team's final game before heading home for the holiday break. As for Walpole, the Wizards and Express will hit the ice for two more matchups in February.

If you can't make it Bedford for the game, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout today's matchup.
