BEDFORD, MA -- The busy stretch continues for the East Coast Wizards, as the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) team returns to the ice today at Noon for a matchup with the Connecticut Chiefs. This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams, as the Wizards held on for a 5-4 victory back on November 7th in Connecticut. Coming into this one, the Wizards have won three straight games and own a mark of 18-9-1 for the year. On the flip side, the Chiefs have lost a pair in a row, and they have a record of 7-15-1 through their first 23 games.
"We need to make sure we stay focused," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "What happened Wednesday is a fluke in this league, and everything resets today. We're in the 1 shift at a time mode right now."
Entering today's matchup, the Wizards own one of the best home records in the league at 10-1-0, with their sole loss coming back in October. The Wizards would love to increase that number up to 11, before gearing up for the January Showcase, which is set to take place on Sunday and Monday in Walpole, MA.
If you can't make it Bedford for the game, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout today's matchup.
