BEDFORD, MA -- After winning their first six games following the holiday break, the East Coast Wizards momentum came to a crashing halt this past week with a pair of tough losses at the hands of the Connecticut RoughRiders and the New Hampshire Avalanche. Despite the losses, the Wizards still sit at 21-11-1 on the season, and would be the #3 seed in the New England Conference if the playoffs started today. Speaking of today, the Wizards are now set to host the Connecticut Chiefs for the third meeting of the year between the two divisional foes.
"This will be another tough one," said Wizards head coach and general manager Freddy Meyer. "You need to bring it for every matchup in this league, and that was especially the case in each of the first two meetings with these guys."
The Wizards came away victorious in both contests, but each game was decided by just a single goal, with the most recent matchup going to overtime. These two teams will meet up one final time on February 13th, for a 12:30pm puck drop in Newington, CT.
If you can't make it Bedford for the game, you can catch the action live on HockeyTV. Also, be sure to follow the Wizards on Twitter, for updates throughout today's matchup.
